The Voice continually brings in big names and now they are adding Rihanna to their collection of stars.
Season nine of The Voice will see Gwen Stephani returning as a coach with Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams. NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told reporters at the TCA Press Tour in Beverly Hills, “We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall.” Greenblatt also added, “This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers.”
Season nine is set to premiere on NBC in September. Levine and Shelton have been with the show since it started in 2011. Williams and Stephani have been with the show since season seven, but Stefani sat out for season eight when Christina Aguilera returned to The Voice. According to E! News, Aguilera plans to return for season 10, but wants to focus on being a mother and on new music for now.
