Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour choreographer has praised the singer for the hours she put in perfecting her dancing after years of being insecure about her performances
The 35-year-old pop sensation’s choreographer, Mandy Moore, who crafted the dance routines for the record-smashing Eras Tour, lauded Taylor for her dedication and the countless hours she spent perfecting her dance steps after years of feeling insecure about her performances.
She revealed, “She’d gotten a bad rap for a long time about her dancing, so she was really in her head. We shifted the focus to how movement was already manifesting in her body – the way she naturally wanted to move. And then we fine-tuned that, ‘OK, that looks a little weird with your shoulders,’ or, ‘Let’s straighten your knee here.'”
Commending the Grammy-winning artist, Mandy further remarked to the New York Times, “I really admire Taylor’s tenacity. She works so hard. Whatever I was putting down, she was picking up. And she’s very clear about what she wants, which I love. I find I can’t create unless I have some parameters. The ‘do whatever you want’ thing, for me, it just feels like chaos.”
In other news, it was recently announced that Taylor will be releasing a docuseries about her Eras Tour in December. The Fate of Ophelia singer has revealed the six-part series, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The End of an Era, will debut on Disney+ on December 12. On the same day, a new concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show – filmed at the conclusion of the record-breaking concert series in Vancouver – will also be released.
As revealed on Good Morning America, the series will provide “an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world,” and showcase “performers, family members, and friends,” including tour opening acts Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter, and guests Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch.
The initial two episodes will drop on December 12, with two more dropping the following week and the final two the week after that.
The concert film will offer fans a glimpse of the Tortured Poets Department material that was incorporated during the tour, as the album of the same name, which prompted a revision of the Eras Tour show, hadn’t been released before Taylor’s previous concert film hit theaters.
A teaser trailer for the documentary, running 99 seconds, was unveiled after the announcement and the Cruel Summer hitmaker also officially announced the project on her social media platforms. She wrote, “It was the End of an Era, and we knew it.
“We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.
“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era is directed by Don Argott, co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, and produced by Object + Animal. Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show, on the other hand, is a production of Taylor Swift Productions in collaboration with Silent House Productions and is directed by Glenn Weiss.
