Nicki Minaj is in danger of possibly losing her $20 million mansion for failing to pay a security guard she was ordered to compensate following an alleged assault
Nick Minaj could be in danger of losing her $20 million mansion amid her current controversies.
The 43-year-old rapper has reportedly failed to pay Thomas Weidenmüller the $503,000 that she was ordered to by a judge. In a 2024 default judgement as part of the lawsuit Weidenmüller won, Los Angeles Judge Cindy Pánuco ruled that Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty to pay the security guard.
In November 2025, following Minaj falling to make the ordered payment, Judge Pánuco said she was on the verge of ordering the sale of Minaj’s $20 million Hill Sides residence if Weidenmüller didn’t receive his payment after he filed a motion.
The judge stated that she is considering granting the sale but she would need a statement from Bank of America exhibiting how much of Minaj’s $13.3 million mortgage she’s paid off since the purchase of the property in October 2022 to proceed, per Rolling Stone.
The motion was filed in October 2025 as Weidenmüller said that he made numerous unsuccessful attempts to collect the money he was owed by Minaj and Petty since he won the judgment, according to Complex.
Minaj is due back in court this week as a follow-up to November’s hearing, and the judge is supposed to receive the paperwork regarding the bank statement and make her final ruling.
Weidenmüller initially sued the couple back in January 2022, accusing Petty of surprising him from behind and punching him in the face as retribution for intervening to defend a female security guard during a dispute with Minaj at a 2019 concert in Frankfurt Germany. Weidenmüller claimed that Petty broke his jaw.
It comes as the mother-of-one has been a part of many recent controversies since coming out as a Donald Trump supporter. Minaj initially thanked the Republican president for talking about the alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria in November 2025.
That same month, Minaj went on to deliver a speech about the alleged plight at the United Nations. She was introduced by Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, at the panel. She also thanked Trump once more in her speech.
The Beez in the Trap artist further exhibited her support of Trump and his administration when she made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, in December 2025.
She came on stage at the first annual summit event, hand-in-hand with Erika Kirk. Nicki gushed about Trump, Vice President JD Vance, as well as the president’s administration at the event.
Minaj has received backlash for backing Trump and being at the Turning Point USA event. A petition was started in December 2025 to deport her back to Trinidad and Tobago.
She recently became embroiled in a social media feud with former CNN anchor Don Lemon. This has resulted in more backlash as she posted a homophobic tweet in reference to Lemon.
