Ariana Grande will miss the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angeles due to rehearsals for The Eternal Sunshine Tour. She is nominated for Wicked: For Good.
She may be nominated, but she won’t be walking the red carpet this time. Ariana Grande, who has been in the spotlight since stepping into the role of Glinda in Wicked, is reportedly set to miss the 2026 Actor Awards. The 32nd annual ceremony, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, will take place on Sunday, March 1, at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Kristen Bell is returning as host for the third time.
Grande is nominated this year for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Wicked: For Good. However, according to People, she will not attend the ceremony as she “rehearses for her upcoming tour.” Us Weekly has reached out to her representative for comment.
The singer-actor has not publicly addressed her reported absence. In August 2025, she announced plans to return to the stage with her The Eternal Sunshine Tour, marking her first major tour since 2019’s Sweetener World Tour.
“See you next year,” she captioned an Instagram post revealing the tour dates. The run is scheduled to begin in Oakland, California, in June and conclude in Chicago in August, with five additional shows planned in London.
Earlier this year, Grande attended the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. She lost to Teyana Taylor for her performance in One Battle After Another. She also missed out on Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for her role in Wicked: For Good.
Grande had previously been nominated in the same supporting actress category at the 2025 SAG Awards for Wicked, but lost to Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez.
As for her co-stars, it remains unclear whether anyone else from Wicked: For Good will attend the March 1 ceremony. Grande is the only cast member nominated this year. Her co-lead Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, received a nomination in 2025 but did not secure a nod in 2026. The ensemble was also not nominated this year for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture after earning recognition in that category the previous year.
